JAY ANGEL HUERTA

PRESIDENT & CEO

Jay Angel is a well known and respected figure in Hawaii’s security industry. He is the founder and innovator of the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond tier system—a framework that matches experience with protection levels in a way that Hawaii's security industry had never seen before. He worked his way up from a regular security officer (BRONZE) to Supervisor (SILVER), then Manager, followed by Operations Manager (GOLD), eventually becoming the Principal Guard, CEO, and Owner of 808HUI SECURITY LLC (DIAMOND).

His deep roots in the Hawaiian islands are reflected in his work, having managed security for over 80 properties across Maui, Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island, while working with other security agencies. His experience also extends to the mainland, where he managed the security for a college dormitory in Santa Barbara, California, housing over 450 college students.

By working for various agencies and properties across the islands, Jay Angel mastered the art of security and identified exactly where companies were falling short. He also recognized the CRITICAL details business owners often overlook when hiring a security company, which frequently results in a very bad predicament.

Jay Angel has corrected those security industry flaws, by offering a free risk assessment and offering four security level tiers, BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD and DIAMOND. Business owners can now select their desired level of protection, matched with experience level, ensuring a clear understanding of what to expect and a more prominent outcome.

"In my first week ever doing security work, I was flown from Maui to Oahu to secure an undisclosed location threatened by an ex-Marine machine gun specialist who threatened to shoot up the place. I was just a kid, stepping into a situation I wasn't prepared for. That experience was the first of many that I witnessed throughout my career. That is why I set up the four-tier system, to make sure no BRONZE tier officer ends up in a scenario meant for a DIAMOND tier officer, putting their own life and others’ lives at risk.

My personal mission is to ensure that no business is left vulnerable and no officer is ever left unprepared. We are raising the standards of the security industry in Hawaii to ensure our communities, businesses and our Ohana's are truly protected”
